I'm in labour - when do I phone the labour ward?

This is my 2nd pg, and I'm having contractions today and it hurts I've been having them since 2am this morning they are every 10 mins or so - haven't changed since - except that they are lasting longer and more painful. I don't want to go into hospital too early, but when should I phone the labour ward to go in? I'm scared too.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Can you believe that I am STILL here - still stuck on 10 min contractions. At this rate this 2nd labour will last longer than my 1st. And here was i thinking that subsequent labours were meant to be faster. I think my body has convientantly forgot about my last labour 3.5yrs ago

Not a wuss! Take the paracetamol - and any drugs you have handy (or is that not a good idea? ) Nobody likes pain, except some very strange Tory MPs...

Chin up Metrobaby, just think when you are strolling around enjoying the summer heat in June and July with your new little one, I'll still be waddling around on my swollen ankles cursing!

Hi, matey.

Shall give you a ring in a mo (if you're still there).

I'm at home today, so if you need someone to look after T (she can help me entertain DS ), I'm available.

Hopefully DH with give DH and I some good news tonight!!! Thinking of ya!

Kayleigh · 21/04/2004 10:40

hi everyone - still here - and contractions till 10 mins apart. Frenchgirl your assumptions were correct as I have been in the bath for the last hour which was nice. Thanks for all your support everyone - I'm sorry I'm such a wuss when it comes to pain. Citygirls - I wish to god I was rather having coffee with you lot than being here with these contractions
