Stupid worry but where did your waters break ????

I know it's daft but I have this irrational fear of them exploding in Boots .
I had my waters manually ruptured with dd (do not want to repeat this), but lately feel as though this bub will punch them out soon, and as I'm currently 40+2 believe they'll go soon.
So who has the most embarassing story ???

Another non embarassing few tales.....
1st DS1 on the hospital bed while in labour.
2nd sitting on the loo while in labour.
3rd and very recent one as you know AngelM, in bed with a tiny pop and trickle about 3 hours before labour really kicked off.

BTW, I've heard that about M&S too. Fingers crossed that the twingeness continues.

Mine went in bed when I was in labour (had a waterproof mattress protector on luckily). I took a cushion with me when I went out for a curry when I was a week overdue - not quite sure what I thought the cushion was going to do, but it made me feel better!

Felt the need to pee at 3am (having just been) almost got to the loo before they hit the floor (thankfully not carpet)I wish I'd bought some Poise pads as I just kept leaking all morning, if I hadn't needed them I could have taken them back for a refund.
Another top tip, I used to work for an insurance company, and if your waters ruin something (car seat, bed etc.) and you can face filling in the "tell us exactly what happened" part of the form you should get it cleaned or replaced. I think amniotic fluid rots stuff, so worth knowing.

My ds1 was born with the sac intact, supposed to be really lucky especially if you're a superstitious sailor! Other two broke during labour. But I wa always scared of this happening too!

Lou that sounds like a good idea, I'm off to try it now, I have an old one and am feeling quite twingey (prob fooling myself) so am off to sleep on a shower curtain

Angelmother I used to put a shower curtain between the sheets and the mattress.

First time was like a river bursting a dam while on the loo. Second was while at my sister's house for Christmas,sitting in her kitchen,though only a trickle. Third one I was in bed, felt a sharp kick then my waters leaking, and the fourth I was induced with.

nah, it was just a trickle, the 2nd lot were a flood tho, i heard a loud pop and a torrent of water lol.

not emabressing at all. first broke whilst in bed. 2nd broke 10mins before i delivered. i remember my nice wooly socks getting wet and the midwife going 'there goes the waters' hehe.

I dont, mine went in bed. But, and this is a big but, I have heard that if you go into labour in Marks and Spencers, you get loads of free clothes and stuff. Maybe Boots will do the same, imagine, free makeup for life (or incontinence pads, nurofen, piles oitment ).

Not me Angelmother, the only child I had that waters broke naturally was the last one and that was just before I gave birth.
