Tristan?

We really like the name Tristan. Just wondering what others thoughts are? Is it a name most people have heard of? I like unusual names but not too unusual like my own where I always have to spell it out to new people! Thanks for your comments.

I like it.

I love it.

I've ever known one, he was my best friend who lived next door when I was a child. We did everything together...then I moved away and we lost touch, but I've never forgotten him.

He was a gentle little boy, but with a wicked sense of adventure, so that's what I imagine Trsitan's to be like.

I too think of Triste (Sad) when I hear Tristan. Nice name otherwise.

Like it a lot... known, spellable, but not common....

Always makes me think of triste = sad in French....

I absolutely adore it. I named my son Tristan, but be prepared for stupid people to spell/say it wrong. My grandmother called him Christian for years.

I think it's a name for all ages. Tris when he is a child and Tristan is a grown up name. My mum calls him Trissy.

I chose it because there are relatively few tristans out there and no one could claim I named my son after them.
