Bit boring, really....

However - the lovely elderly couple who used to live in our house before us were called Eva and Ted.

They asked if we wanted some of the furniture leaving, as as we were skint and had barely anything between us, we were most grateful. So we inherited their rather fetching dusky pink 3-piece suite.... When we went to get rid of it, I found a small card down the back of it, with a poem on, called "Recipe for a happy home", and a handwritten note on the back saying "To Eva and Ted, Much love in your new home xxx". It must have gone back to the 1950s. I like to think of them as my sort-of guardian grandparents (they've both passed away now) and will use their names in some form for future DCs.
