What was your baby *almost* called? Does it fit him/her?

What names did you nearly choose for your DC's? Would it suit them now? Is it the same style as the one you chose?

DP is 3 months pregnant and we have a few set in stone, wondering if by 9 months we'll choose something completely different!

DS1 was always the name he is.

DD I honestly can't remember what else was on list.

DS2's first and middle names were nearly the other way around (then he would have been George - still like that actually but not sure it's quite him).

More interesting maybe is the "wrong" names (ie the names for sex we didn't get); we would have Ella, George (those 2 then became DD and DS2 second names) and Agnes! Oh yes rather nice actually.

springheeledjack lol @ Edith as buttoned up name! Know what you mean tho. Delilah is lovely tho, please don't regret it.

DD2 was almost Nicola, right up until she was born, all through pregnancy. She became Emma the next day though.

DD2 was almost Edith

I looked at her serious and slightly worried little face on the way to get her registered and wailed "we can't give her a such serious buttoned up name! let's call her something fancy instead"

...we called her Delilah. Edith would've suited her much better. Still regret it

ds1 was daniel but within 8 hours we had changed our mind to matthew - he didn't look like a daniel and is a matthew. so with dd we didn't choose any names and chose what suites her.

DH was adamant that if she was a boy she would be called Jan Venegoor or Tamerlane, so glad she was a girl so I didn't have to explain for the hundreth time that no child of mine will be named after a dutch footballer or a bloodthirsty 14th Century conqueror!

DD1 could have been Natasha or Scarlett. Either would work, although when I have mentioned it people say "but she is such an Amelia".

Funnily enough I have since had DD2 and did not use Natasha, even though I still love it.
