Which do you like best: Eleanora/ Leonora/ Annora/ Honora/ Honor?

I like all of these similar names but can't decide which one is my favourite.

I am very fond of Elinor/Eleanor too but it sounds too typically English for our family so doesn't fit!

It would be really helpful to have some comments re pros/ cons of the above names

It is derived from Honora, meaning honour

I was nearly a Lenora (Portuguese) but ended up with the Anglicised version! I like Leonor. I think Annora is lovely - what's its derivation?

Leonora without a doubt - it's been around for many years and is very underused (except by the posh circles for some reason).

Annora is my second middle name. I used to have a bit of a love/hate relationship with it because I was called Nora Batty, but Nora is quite acceptable now I think. Also, I saw an old advert with Bruce Forsythe in it the other day, and he said something like "you must be Annora, may I call you Nonnie" which is rather nice imo.
Have had some reactions that Annora sounds made up.

I see what you mean about Annora, belgo! I would pn it Ann-ora not A-nora (like a Nora) if that makes any sense.

Annora sounds a bit odd - a bit like the opposite of Nora (in the way that atypical is the opposite of typical)

gloria- I agree that Honor could be a difficult name for a child to carry!

I actually like the nn Nora so wouldn't mind that.

Still no takers for Annora?

Lovely as Leonora, Honora and Eleanora are, be prepared for your child to be known as Nora. Is a fact.

Eleanor, on the other hand is a fab name. It would have been ds1's name had he been a dd1! Honor is also a lovely name but has rather too many innudendo properties for my liking.
