I've heard all the 'poison Ivy' jokes and it doesn't put me off - she's my gorgeous 12 day old DD with masses of dark hair and there is NOTHING poisonous about her!!

But we can't decide between the two above...

Help!

Love both too.

If it were me, I would probably pick Ivy.

mummyosar · 05/06/2010 18:41

Love Ivy. Want it myself but can't persuade DH to agree.

loobylu3 · 05/06/2010 10:00

I really like both so no help at all!

I would describe Ivy as playful and spunky and Constance as soft, serious and v virtuous sounding!

LadyOfTheFlowers · 05/06/2010 09:48

Constance was on our shortlist so I vote for that.

I love Constance.

I love Constance, and it has a beautiful meaning.

Btw, if you decide on Ivy Constance, check it with the initials and your surname first!

I prefer Constance/Connie. My Nan's name - she was a star

DinahRod · 04/06/2010 18:33

Constance

MagalyZz · 04/06/2010 18:32

Connie. I like a lot of old lady names, but not Ivy.

Not keen on Constance though, but Connie is nice.

liliputlady · 04/06/2010 18:06

I think Connie is lovely.

PuppyMonkey · 04/06/2010 17:34

Yeah me too Ineedsomesleep. And the way Don her husband (was it Don???) used to pronounce it I-veh! I-veh! Shudder.

pointydog · 04/06/2010 17:34

Much prefer Connie

Ineedsomesleep · 04/06/2010 17:18

I really like both I never think of "poison ivy".

When you've chosen the first name are you thinking of using the other one as a middle name? Ivy Constance or Constance Ivy would both be lovely, but I think Ivy Constance "flows" just slightly better.

PuppyMonkey · 04/06/2010 11:06

Constance much nicer

skihorse · 04/06/2010 11:05

Congratulations!

Constance for me!

DastardlyandSmugly · 04/06/2010 11:02
