We have a Lucas and so far haven't come across any others at school or nursery or in any of our groups of friends and their families etc. (he is 4.6)

I think it is quite popular. I know two 3 year olds, one Lucas and one Lukas. It's a nice name though!

It's not a surname being used a first name though lidofabiro. It's a legitimate name that happens to occasionally be a surname as well - like Stuart for example. What TV influences?

I think it's a great name but I can't help but think mucus! or lupus..

I think it's going to get more popular due to TV influences but will never be the next Jack

Sorry but I'm not too keen, probably because it's a surname. I do like Luke though.
