I know that not everyone thought about this when they were a child but if you did what names did you love then, and did you use them?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Jennifer and Tijuana - No - funnily enough I changed my mind!

anonandlikeit · 02/06/2010 19:19

Adam & Nicola.. didn't use them either

GinaDavies · 02/06/2010 19:18

I loved the names Megan and Sophie since I was a kid watching "Home and Away"

janeite · 02/06/2010 19:15

Boys - Thaddeus and Morrissey
Girls - Eloise and Ariadne

I still love three out of four of these but dp was not impressed!

CuppaTeaJanice · 02/06/2010 19:15

The girls were going to be Rachel and Lucretia, and the boys Silas and Bernard!

Of course I didn't use them!!!!!!!!!

CaptainUnderpants · 02/06/2010 19:06

Never crossed my mind as a child/ teen as to what any future children woud be called - wasn't interested - far more interested in wanting a Ford Escort Mk 1

differentID · 02/06/2010 19:04

Sophie, Joshua, Sebastian and Megan.

None of which I plans to consider now, for any child I may have.

EricNorthmansmistress · 02/06/2010 18:59

Bronwyn
Sebastian

TubbyDuffs · 02/06/2010 18:57

Think mine were whatever Charlie's Angels were called!

sparklefrog · 02/06/2010 18:55

Oh, and DS is not called Blue.

sparklefrog · 02/06/2010 18:54

I wanted a DS called Blue and a DD called Red after the characters in Fraggle Rock.

When I was pg with DD, we wouldn't tell anyone the name we had chosen.

DS spent my whole pg saying 'You're not giving the baby a colour as a name are you?' in an exasperated tone.

DD is named after a colour, but she's definitely not called Red.

deaddei · 02/06/2010 18:02

David (after David Cassidy) and Carly (Ms Simon)
At least it wasn't Gary

M32song · 02/06/2010 18:02

My Dad had a colleague when I was a little girl called Jaya, I thought it was the most beautiful name in the world.

Come to think of it, I still think it sounds good!

ROFL at 'Goldia'- can't fault the reasoning!

foreverastudent · 02/06/2010 18:00

Crystal, Amber, Courtney for girls.

Mark (after Mark Owen), Sam or Andrew for a boy.

posieparker · 02/06/2010 18:00

Jade and Blue...can't remember any more

MrsFawlty · 02/06/2010 17:57

I liked Tristan for a boy (was reading a lot of Arthurian gubbins.) I'm really glad I didn't have a baby when I was 17.

draggedthroughahedgebackwards · 02/06/2010 17:55

When I was a child I thought that Cheryl was the most glamourous name ever. In my teens I loved names like Andromeda.

I have a DD but her name is neither of these

These mostly sound pretty tame!

When I was 14, my first child - a daughter - was going to be called Jasmine Viva Thea Tamara Roxette Taurean Star!

I have since had 3 dd's (and 1 ds) and did not use one single bit of this name! All 3 girls do have unusual, distinctive names...but not quite THIS distinctive!

NormalityBites · 02/06/2010 15:43

I knew exactly what I wanted to call a DD, I have a DD and used it, suits her down to the the ground

GooseyLoosey · 02/06/2010 15:43

Andy and Jenny. Used niether but I think the choice makes it quite easy to age me.

MunchMummy · 02/06/2010 15:42

Hazel and Zacharias. I'd read Goodnight Mr Tom and a boy in that was called Zach and I loved it.

To my surprise DH suggested Hazel when expecting DD1, so I jumped at the chance - still love the name.

Had another daughter, but would have called a boy Peter.

YunoYurbubson · 02/06/2010 15:41

Roffle at Silvia and Goldia.

YunoYurbubson · 02/06/2010 15:38

Georgiana Amber Freja
Beatrice Tudor Grey
Daniel Charles Edward

Actually I still like the girls names. Sadly though, my husband insisted on having a say in the naming of our children .

pixiestix · 02/06/2010 15:38

I wanted a little girl called Serendipity
