So I thought I was decided on Phoebe (nn Bee). Until Polly caught my eye..

What do you all think,

Polly Shailes

Phoebe Shailes

pros and cons of each? I can think of a few but dont want to influence just yet x x x

Don't like Polly, it's so unaspirational.

zozzle · 29/07/2010 09:57

Love both

issy123 · 28/07/2010 21:00

Love Polly, not keen on phoebe

Tas1 · 28/07/2010 13:44

Phoebe My DD is called Phoebe Olivia.

zenoushka · 28/07/2010 13:23

Phoebe is lovely

Colliecross · 28/07/2010 10:10

Love both names

BUT I know a Phoebe called Beefy. Fee-bee, bee-fee, geddit? I think it's absolutely awful but is always used to little Phoebe by nursery staff (should know better) and I feel will therefore carry on to school.

Polly1987 · 28/07/2010 09:24

POLLY POLLY POLLY!!

MilkNoSugarPlease · 29/05/2010 21:12

Phoebe

Love them both but Phoebe sounds better with surname

SacharissaCripslock · 29/05/2010 19:54

Phoebe.

CheeseChomper · 29/05/2010 19:53

Love Phoebe!

LittleSilver · 28/05/2010 19:41

Or massive attention-seekers like the one I was at school with.

BallpointPen · 28/05/2010 19:22

Phoebe, definitely, it's lovely. Polly is for parrots.

bebejones · 28/05/2010 19:18

Love both, but biased coz I have a Phoebe & we call her Bee, or Beeni! She never gets called Feebs but then she is too young for school nn's. Agree with Polly sounding a bit like Polish Ales though.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 28/05/2010 19:14

Definitely not Phoebe as people will call her feebs and that makes her sound feeble.

Polly v nice tho

SqueezyB · 28/05/2010 19:12

Love Polly, but then I am biased as I have one! Never met another and people always comment on how lovely it is. Her full name is Polly Jean, so she often gets shortened to PJ, but is also known as Polly Pocket and Polly Doodle.

You obviously have great taste as Phoebe is high on my list for DC2 if it's a girl!

flopsy1974 · 28/05/2010 13:18

Definately Phoebe. Not sure about Polly as she gets older. Phoebe will suit any age.

Pasiphae · 28/05/2010 12:20

Polly rocks, but not with your surname!
How about Poppy or Dolly?

LetLoveRule · 28/05/2010 08:53

Polly, Polly, Polly! Love it.

diddl · 28/05/2010 08:43

Phoebe

Rubena · 28/05/2010 06:58

quite like them both. Quite liking Polly but yes the Polish Ales could be problematic Phoebe is nice

Lora69 · 27/05/2010 23:18

thanks thelongroadhome, how come Polly?

Lora69 · 27/05/2010 23:04

The only problem with Phoebe, as evidenced here is Phoeboe!! haha and Pheobe was on the other post.. think its just one of those tricky names..
