MNHubbie · 31/05/2010 10:34

Instantly thought "hope she'll be a bombshell" then realised it was a crap joke so decided to keep it to myself.

seeker · 31/05/2010 10:31

Hiroshima

LuluF · 31/05/2010 10:27

I know a 'Nola', which is pretty.

crabb · 31/05/2010 10:24

Had you realised it's "alone" backwards? Hiroshima associations for me too.

usualsuspect · 30/05/2010 16:42

I like it ..wouldn't use it tho..love the omd song

SoupDragon · 30/05/2010 16:40

No!

TakeLovingChances · 30/05/2010 16:38

Oh my word! I had a dream about the name Enola last night! No idea why

Isn't there a Manic Street Preachers song called 'Enola Alone'?

Contrary to the other posters, I quite like the name.... but don't think I'd use it if I had a DD.

othermother · 29/05/2010 22:36

It's a beautiful name.
I also love the name Anthrax for a lad.

A1980 · 29/05/2010 22:28

Wasn't Enola also the name of the little girl in that AWFUL Kevin Costner film, Waterworld?

Granola and Ebola come to mind too!

flopsy1974 · 28/05/2010 13:16

Please don't call your daughter this name. I don't think she would thank you in the future for giving her the same name as the plane that dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima.
A great song though - trouble is it shows my age.

SambuccaKelly · 28/05/2010 12:54

It's ghastly.

orienteerer · 28/05/2010 12:53

No

GwennieF · 28/05/2010 12:52

How about Gwenola? It's a celtic name from Brittany - it means 'Fair angel'....

(Am not one tiny little bit biased!)

Pinkchampagne · 28/05/2010 12:38

I thought Enola Gay too

DeFluffy · 28/05/2010 12:36

sounds like the virus where you bleed to death out of every orifice, has anyone mentioned that yet?

What about 'Typhoid', 'Rubella - could be shortened to 'Ruby'', or 'Influenza'?

Actually Rubella sounds quite pretty

jumpingjackhash · 28/05/2010 12:34

Enola virus... sorry

Iona is a lovely alternative though!

MoChan · 28/05/2010 12:33

Death, horror, bombs. Please don't. Iona is a lovely alternative.

WombFrootShoot · 28/05/2010 12:31

Enola also sounds like a cream you would use on a very personal rash.

Psammead · 28/05/2010 12:28

I second Iona as a name.

Enola is one letter away from a flesh eating virus.

Pasiphae · 28/05/2010 12:22

Nooo, not after Hiroshima.

Enora?
