We have a shortlist and a long time to go (19 weeks) but are stuck on three very distinctive boys' names but probably need more to choose from!

Our requirements are nothing New Testament/Christian and nothing too popular.

So far we have:
Quentin
Avi
Barnaby

BTW we don't know the gender but have plenty of girls' names!

Sorry, it's purely my taste, but Quentin and Barnaby sound a bit weak and posh to me. Not "solid" enough

What about

Evan
Asa
Rufus
Marcus
Matthew (know it's new testament, but ...)
Patrick
Hugo

Rory
Glen
Eddie
Felix
Stanley
Titus
Perry
Miles
Casper
Toby
Peirce
Arty
Edwin

Avi is an abbreviated form of Abraham isn't it? I personally don't really think it sounds incomplete, and it's my favourite of the three.

Barnaby is the best on that list. Quentin has a kind of sniggerish undertone to it that I couldn't live with. It's like a parody of effeminate upper-class wannabe name.

Avi is a bit incomplete sounding, and very girly. I would have to say 'sorry can you repeat that?' a couple of times. Do you want him to have a life time of people saying 'what?' when he introduces himself.

Barnaby is the only usable one on your list.
