I like the name itself, however paedophile connotations nix it for me I'm afraid. Can't stand that little girl would have to go through life with that name.

and i don't often say that!!! In itself the name is quite pretty, but the connotations are fairly unpleasant

From a literary viewpoint, Dolores or Lola would substitute...

Make sure she knows the connotations. And then let her make her own decision.

Chances are she'll end up being called Lollie or Lottie or something, anyway.
