Abigail - reminds me of a girl at school who was known as Gabby Abby.

Alice - like

Annabel - like but getting popular.

Evelyn - like but really not keen on the overuse of Evie/Eve/Eva/Ava

Matilda - like

Penelope - not keen. There is one in the same class as my DS though and she is a cool kid.

Rosalie - think she should be reading tealeaves on Blackpool's Golden Mile

Talia - but poncy for me

Tessa - like but prefer Tess

Evelyn - love, but is dads' wifes' name
Matilda - like
Penelope - was no.2 on our list
Rosalie - was on list
Talia - like a lot hadn't thought of that
Tessa - sounds more like a nn to me? dunno.

Annabel - I like but prefer it to be Annabelle
Evelyn - not keen on
Matilda - like - DD's friend's sister is called it and known as Tilly
Penelope - it's my MIL's name. Is OK
Rosalie - not keen on
Talia - not keen on
Tessa - feels like a name for a dog but no idea why

My dd is Evelyn, she is known as Evie now which is quite a sweet young name but then hs a 'more mature' name for when older - Evelyn. You don't get that imo with names like 'poppy'.

We considered Matilda too, very pretty.

Talia -don't like.

Tessa - don't like remembers me of sanderson and jowell.

I liked Alice until somebody linked to that awful song!

Quite like Annabel.

Abigail is lovely too but I know several young ones.

Rosalie (Prefer Rosalind or Rosamund)
Talia (Nice but sounds like a nn)
Tessa (DD's name so love it. Much nicer that Tess)

Talia- nice too, prefer as nn for Natalia

My favourites are: Matilda (but not Tilly), Alice and Penelope.

I dislike Matilda, just doesn't sound that nice and I even more dislike the Roald Dahl story of same name. Tilda (Tilly) is ok, though.

Rest are ok, I suppose Tessa would be my fave on that list.
