DP is french and his father has this name and it is DP's middle name too...his mother saved him from being landed with it for a first name.
Might have to do it to our boy when he arrives in 2 months..just as a middle name though...thoughts? Would be Hector Florimond - too mean..?

The first bit sounds like an old womans name, and the end is very masculine. It's a very odd name. Does your DP want to use it?

Extend your MIL's good work and prevent your DS from being given it at all would be my advice.

Think of it as a good deed to a future DIL who will be under even more pressure to use it for your grandson!

I think it is a fab name. Maybe a middle name in the UK though.
