Undecided on this - it will always remind me of the Kinks, but we both like it and think it goes well with our DD's name, Poppy; fun, not too pretentious but not too traditional either. What do you think?

I really like it - I think some people focus too much on associations when, in reality, a child/adult naturally becomes their name and people forget about those associations. It's very pretty.

i know 2 lolas and they are both Shitzu puppies.

But I do like it- would be a def stripper/ transvestite name with my surname, though- think La Rue, but not that....

I find this name a bit sexualised. In a very porn industry kind of way. Others clearly don't see that as it's becoming very popular now. Strange choice imo.

Leila is pretty. Lois is a good strong name. Lois could be nnd Lola.

I don't like it at all.It makes me think of a lapdancer.

It may be 'fun' or cute for a little girl but I don't think it works for an adult.

I know a couple. One is actually short for Lolita which is just plain wroing.

I find it's a little bit Spearmint Rhino for a baby girl...sorry

I know 4 now, its quite popular but quite sweet, if you can get past the Manilow/show girl association
