We have a thread for girls names so why not one for boys?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Raymond
Tyler
Barry

duchesse · 11/05/2010 09:48

Regan is a girl's name isn't it?

Tyler (although I know a perfectly delightful 14 yr old one), Connor, Harrison, Fras(z)er, Harvey, in fact all names that are actually surnames used as first names, all names that are merely trying to display how terribly well-travelled and well-read little Jago's parents really are

I could on but maybe I should stop now.

PandaG · 11/05/2010 09:46

Full House! DFather, DH and DH's names all on this list!

ChickensNeedOpposableThumb · 11/05/2010 09:42

Anything thats trying too hard:
Cassius
Ignatious
Regan
Arlo
Rufus
etc

Personally, I prefer simple, strong names.

Psammead · 11/05/2010 09:34

Wayne
Francis
Gary
Trevor

sungirltan · 10/05/2010 22:35

i loved the name jack - until i discovered a friends ds is actually called 'jack daniel'. on purpose

sigh

fruitstick · 10/05/2010 22:28

both of my boys names are on here - how very dare you

I'm a big fan of old men's names though. Fine, noble ones (although could never convince myself of Stanley).

I hate names which should be surnames
Tyler
Bradley
Mason etc

sungirltan · 10/05/2010 22:27

oooh pisces i missed that off the girl thread - first names which are actually surnames - so the kid has two last names! grr

made up boys names :-P

AvengingGerbil · 10/05/2010 22:24

Anything ending in 'ie' or 'y' - baby names which are cute for babies and toe-curling for adults.

Our daughters are doomed to marry men called Alf, Bill, Ron, Fred and Bert.

nannynobnobs · 10/05/2010 22:19

Have always hated the name Toby. It's a wishy washy small yappy dog name. Sorry.
I always loved the name Tyler as it's my mum's maiden name. No way I can use it now!

tammy234 · 10/05/2010 22:14

Boys' names that I really dislike include
Jayden/Kayden
Tyler
Oscar
Kyle
Kevin
Ethan
Jason
Nigel
Brian
Graham

fabhead · 10/05/2010 21:52

no offence to any Lisas BTW - I know a lovely one now

fabhead · 10/05/2010 21:51

yes I am sure your ds is lovely! My own ds's best friend is a james. I like slightly more unusual names is all - I rememebr in my class at senior school there were 5 Lisa's! And they were all bullies so maybe that is why!

shockers · 10/05/2010 21:45

Callum... it reminds me of Gollum.

seashore · 10/05/2010 21:35

JACK,I can't stand it!

Not keen on Oscar either.

rubyslippers · 10/05/2010 21:27

Aw Emily - my son's name is on here

i knew it would be ... i like it though and i bet you do too

brogan2 · 10/05/2010 21:26

'Tis ok either way. If you're likely to be offended by a thread like this you shouldn't come on. Fabhead has said she doesn't like my DS's name not my DS. Why on Earth would I be offended.

EmilyStrange · 10/05/2010 21:25

Tristan, Harry, Jay, Jordan, Jaydan, Andrew, Bill, Barry, and any name that you will find two or more of in a classroom. Who wants to be known as Ben C or Jack T etc?

Glad to see my son's name is one of the most unpopular
