Traditional baby boy names

My husband and I are trying to find a name for our baby boy. We're both traditional and would like a longer name as the family name is short. DH has proposed Harold which I am not so keen on. He has said no to Richard, James, William, Benjamin, Alexander etc.

We're looking for a really old, unusual name. British or Greek. My dd has a name no one else has and we'd like to see if we can find a name for the new arrival that would keep with that.

Please let me know your ideas.

My new nephew is Frederick Joseph, which is really annoying as my husband and I can't think of any boys names and they were about the only 2 we liked (I'm holding out for a girl at the moment as I have loads of girls names).

How about
Rufus
Edward (Teddy is SUCH a cute little boy name!)
Alfred (Alfie, ditto)
Ambrose
Cyril
Thadeus
Erasmus

I like Sebastian although that´s maybe too popular.
Michael?
Frederick?
Doesn´t fit your criteria but I´ll throw in Jethro because I love it!

I have to say, I really like Harold!
Off the top of my head, how about

Howard (love this - Howie!)
Gilbert
Bertram
Crispin
Gregory
Balthasar
Gideon
Cecil
Basil
Edgar

Will have a think and come back - any of those any good?
What is your dd's name?
