Anyone know any sweet sounding Japanese girls names?

Or boys for that matter.

We have a Mika (maternal great grandmothers name) and a Jack (paternal grandfathers name) and we have shortlisted James and Ruby for DC3.

Have looked at Google list of Japanese baby names and nothing really stood out.

Any suggestions would be great.

I love the name Kimiko, and would be tempted if I had another dd, but I know that dh would veto as we have no real Japanese connections.

I have worked for a Japanese company, where I met Aiko, Megumi, Yoko, Atsune, Yumie and Naruko.

On CBeebies birthdays the other day, there was a little girl named 'Miyuki'. I thought that sounded pretty.

Oh, so many beautiful names. Wonders whether I could get away with a Japanese sounding name with my very non-Japanese background...damn, better get conceiving again first!

Aah Mariko, the very name takes me back to the film series Shogun, starring Richard Chamberlain. He falls in love with a beautiful Japanese girl called Mariko

But I digress.... lots of lovely suggestions given earlier.

I agree Junko is lovely but there may be a problem with pronunciation. A friend has this name and there is always confusion as to whether it is Yung-ko or Jung-ko.
