Gorgian houses tend to be terraced or detached. Edwardian houses are more likely to be semi-detached.
Like George btw

LouMacca · 01/05/2010 17:11

Love George. My DSs middle name.

CoteDAzur · 01/05/2010 16:33

I like it. Very unusual.

mitochondria · 01/05/2010 16:29

I have one.

He is named after Peppa Pig's little brother.

He is usually known as Goo.

ifihadahifi · 01/05/2010 16:26

I used to hate it but really like it now!

flopsy1974 · 01/05/2010 16:23

Love it!

KnitterInTheNW · 01/05/2010 11:52

As a nanny I used to look after a George (He'd be about 18 now I think). When he used to write his name aged about 5 all the letters were so very round, I loved the way it looked. That's one of the reasons we ended up calling our DS George!

Clary · 30/04/2010 23:02

I like George. We used it as a middle name as I feared it being popular but actually there are only a couple at school.

A good friend has one tho so it's just as well.

Good name tho - Everyone can say it, no icky nicknames, everyone can spell it, classy and classic.

Shaz10 · 30/04/2010 22:25

Georgian houses tend to be semis . It's the symmetry.

scotagm · 30/04/2010 21:33

Love it. My Ds is Archie George.

Usualsuspect, what do you mean by "very semi-detached?" An utterly ridiculous comment.

SE13Mummy · 30/04/2010 19:15

I love the name in theory but have taught a few and they've always been boys who're remembered for all the wrong reasons so it's not one I'd use personally. This in itself is a good reason for lots of other people to use it so that I eventually get to teach a lively but reasonably behaved George.

Granny23 · 30/04/2010 17:06

Yep! My GN is George, called Geordie or Doddie as he is in Aberdeenshire.

Best thing is that he has his own range of designer clothing at ASDA.

boodleboot · 30/04/2010 17:04

yay.....i am really pleased it is so well liked.....

I like George. Have a 3yo one. And we live in a terrace not a semi

He's the only one in his nursery.

getthewineinthefridge · 30/04/2010 08:29

Shaz10 · 29/04/2010 22:31

I like George.

Doodleydoo · 29/04/2010 22:31

If our next dc is a boy it will be a George. And if a girl will possibly be a Georgia

VengefulKitty · 29/04/2010 22:30

I have no real feelings on it either way.

Just popped in to say that I know of 2 Georges. One is 9 and one is 18mths.

twolittlemonkeys · 29/04/2010 22:30

I like it but there are 4 of them in DS's kindergarten (26 children in total)

usualsuspect · 29/04/2010 22:30

Horrible name ..very semi detached
