it reminds me of a character from the Dukes of Hazzard - loved that programme

CinderellaRach · 11/05/2010 14:13

I'd love to meet a Beau to find out if he's had the p*^s taken out of him.

Oh. And the pook kid will be taunted with 'Beau? How do you spell that... B O ?'

wahwahwah · 11/05/2010 13:34

Yes. Yes it is. Could be a terrible letdown (like Lord Adonis, or Lord Razzle)

yummymummie1 · 11/05/2010 13:30

CinderellaRach · 11/05/2010 10:03

i love beau for a boy but would not use it for a girl at all all the baby names books iv had have only had it for a boy x

CinderellaRach · 10/05/2010 16:38

Yes comtessa like saying my husband is called handsome!Wouldn't sound right.I just worry that it's too 'film star' for a little boy or a man!?

Difficult name - especially if he/she grows up to study French/live in France. Imagine being called Beauty in the UK.

CinderellaRach · 10/05/2010 16:28

Quinn is also nice but reminds me of my Quinny pram!

Remy and Rennie sound quite different to my ears. I honestly wouldn't worry about any similarities there...

I think Remy is lovely (as is Beau although I prefer the former).

CinderellaRach · 08/05/2010 12:11

Thanks for feedback
I had decided on Remy Alexander but everyone tells me the first thing they think of is Rennie heartburn tablets!Completely put me off.
Is Beau asking to be bullied?I love it but even my own family think it's a ridiculous name!!

lifesabeach · 08/05/2010 11:48

beau/ belle whatever.... both sound like hookers names imo

rachel234 · 08/05/2010 11:39

I quite like Beau, but I prefer Remy - elegant, classy and masculine.

There are so, so many Finns around that I personally would avoid it for that reason. I do like Quinn, however.

oceryo · 08/05/2010 11:35
  1. Remy
  2. Finn
  3. Beau
annasophia · 08/05/2010 11:27

Personally, I prefer Remy.

Or, as an alternative to Finn, how about Quinn?

CinderellaRach · 08/05/2010 11:05

Thanks

Finn is a fab name - cool, easy to spell, v. little teasing potential!

CinderellaRach · 07/05/2010 14:30

I was either going to go with Finn,Remy or Beau.Would hate the thought of someone saying Beau is a chav name!!So difficult..

OP posts:
thirtysomething · 07/05/2010 11:00

Well yeah didn't want to say it but it's definitely a "chav" name here!

Friend of mine lives opposite a Beau - apparently he has great trouble remembering how to spell it, he gets cards addressed to "Bo" and lots of Bo Peep taunting! Also danger that some people will just pronounce it "Bew" or somesuch.

If you're looking for other ideas, Tristan is on the up around here, along with Monty, Owen, Tait, Benedict and Saul.

CinderellaRach · 07/05/2010 10:44

That's fine thirty!Do you mean 'chav'?(Yuck hate that word)
Only got a few weeks left. It's hard thinking of names!Don't know why I love Beau so much but I do....
Boys names are so much more difficult than girls...

thirtysomething · 07/05/2010 10:17

Sorry cinderella didn't mean to offend but it's kind of the opposite to pretentious around here, though I'm much further North than you and I guess names vary a lot from region to region!
