Have managed to narrow it down to these two, but have reached total stalemate when trying to make a final decision. Only a few weeks left to go so need some advice!

Camilla.

Romilly is beyond awful.

DeborahDevonshire · 23/04/2010 14:03

I like both names very much. However, Romilly seems more 'modern', whilst Camilla is more traditional.

Both very nice choices though.

Pasiphae · 23/04/2010 14:00

Camilla.

skihorse · 23/04/2010 13:55

Camilla.

Romilly sounds like an engine part which would be hard to source in rural France.

diddl · 23/04/2010 11:22

Camilla.

I always think Romilly sounds masculine.

seaturtle · 23/04/2010 09:18

Romilly is lovely. I don't hate Camilla, but it's not a favorite. Makes me think of Ms Parker Bowles.

Lyds3 · 23/04/2010 08:43

I know what you mean about Camilla P-B! I'm hoping that if i called this baby camilla i would immediately be able to forget any previous connotations....

I prefer Camilla but it is hard to get over Camilla P-B not many people would totally put me off a name, but she really does.

TabithaTwitchet · 22/04/2010 21:36

I prefer Camilla - Romilly always makes me think of Rommel.

displayuntilbestbefore · 22/04/2010 21:07

Romilly?
I lived south of Manchester for many a year and there's a town near Stockport called Romiley so Romilly would be a no go-er for me I'm afraid and if your daughter was called that, it might make life difficult if she ever lived or knew anyone who lived in that area

pointydog · 22/04/2010 21:04

I prefer Camille but only for french people

They're both nice but I prefer Romilly, and would shorten to Romy

Do you like Romany, or Dominy?

notso · 22/04/2010 20:58

Romilly, without a shadow of a doubt.

debaronz · 22/04/2010 20:57

I like Camilla.

Not keen on Romilly, it sounds like a cross between Emily and Romy more than a name in itself.

mathanxiety · 22/04/2010 20:53

I love Romy though, maybe more than Camilla, definitely more than Romilly.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 22/04/2010 20:35

heymango · 22/04/2010 20:33

Romilly, but love them both!

mathanxiety · 22/04/2010 20:32

BallpointPen · 22/04/2010 20:31

choosyfloosy · 22/04/2010 20:30
