Have managed to narrow it down to these two, but have reached total stalemate when trying to make a final decision. Only a few weeks left to go so need some advice!

OP: Didn't see your message! Camilla Rose is a wonderful name - well chosen!!

The thought of a baby Camilla is making me reconsider it now...

freerangeeggs · 27/07/2010 11:25

Romilly. It's very pretty with good nickname possibilities.

Camilla is all PB for me too, unfortunately. I find it difficult to divorce the name from the associations, so I can't look at it objectively.

Having said that, if I met a cute little Camilla I might change my mind

birdofthenorth · 26/07/2010 13:29

Romilly = Romiley to me too I'm afraid. Less of an issue if she never goes to Greater Manchester, but I don't think you can predict that!

Camilla =Parker Bowles, but I like Milla as nn v much.

Baby now arrived and is called Camilla Rose, though big brother Archie calls her 'Poneena' which is quite funny! Thanks for all the comments! x

Great name - literary name, too - from Great Expectations.

oceryo · 04/05/2010 18:35

Estella is a lovely name Prefer it to Camilla and Romilly.

Lyds3 · 04/05/2010 18:30

OK, my husband (who studied astrophysics and is a bit of a space geek - i mean that in the nicest possible way) has just announced that he really likes the name Estella because of it's connection to stars etc. So now a bit confused again (told you i'm indecisive). Any thoughts on Estella?

Camilla Jane
Camilla Skye
Camilla Pearl

LuluF · 03/05/2010 10:11

Romilly - I'm biased as we have one. diddl said it sounds masculine - it was a boys' name (Welsh painter Augustus John had a son named Romilly) mostly used for a girl these days, though.

Lyds3 · 02/05/2010 19:19

I really like that actually, nice and simple and goes well with our surname. Thanks!

Camilla May - what do you think?!

Lyds3 · 28/04/2010 09:28

Quick extra question - can anyone think of a good one syllable middle name to go with Camilla?

OP posts:
Alouiseg · 24/04/2010 20:19

Love them both but Romilly won't have the baggage associated with Camilla, who I personally think is a top bird

SarfEasticated · 24/04/2010 20:17

Camilla Parker-Bowles?

Romilly for me too - could by Romy, Milly...

Lyds3 · 24/04/2010 19:09

Thanks for all the advice - i think we've pretty much decided to go with Camilla now. Although i'm so unbelievably indecisive that there may well still be more mind changing to be done!
