What do you think of this?

I can't decide, one day I love it, the next i'm not too sure.

Your opinions?

Really dislike it, I'm afraid.

lillyloo · 25/04/2010 00:03

I am considering it too if I have a girl, I suppose if your not German (which I'm not)its just a pretty name but people with German backgrounds seem to hate it.

indie37 · 24/04/2010 19:27

It's a fab name, it's mine. Go for it.

vickyob · 24/04/2010 18:31

Kerry Katona ruined it for me too then my BF had a Heidi - Very dark haired mediterean looking and I love it. It would be too twee if she were blonde.

StrictlyKatty · 23/04/2010 08:31

I love it, really pretty name but not twee.

CristinaTheAstonishing · 22/04/2010 23:16

I love it. Our DD2 is Heidi and we've always had nice comments on it. She has light brown, curly hair & hazel eyes and she definitely suits her name.

mathanxiety · 22/04/2010 20:52

I'd put it with Wendy and Linda in the 70s time capsule.

Cejay8 · 22/04/2010 10:43

I love it, but sadly hubby is not at all keen - so it's off our list... I think it's pretty and not tooooo popular.

muminthemiddle · 21/04/2010 22:53

I like it.

pointydog · 21/04/2010 18:34

don;t like it at all. Goats etc

foureleven · 21/04/2010 18:23

I love it. My close friend's daughter is called Heidi and she has never encountered another child with the name.. except for Kerry Katona's Heidi who was born 3 days afterwards!

Its sensible enough for when she grows up and runs a Hedge Fund but pretty enough to still feel feminine.

AllieW · 21/04/2010 12:27

I love it - very pretty. I seem to remember that the book said it was short for Adelheid, though, which is nowhere near as nice!

Eglu · 21/04/2010 09:47

It's awful, sorry. My Gran had a dog called Heidi too.

AvadaKedavra · 21/04/2010 09:28

I'm a Heidi and I detest it. Unless your child is sure to grow up looking blonde and lean and lithe and tanned, then no.

Magaly · 21/04/2010 09:27

I really like it. I think it's quite germanic, and I feel my soul is more latin, so not for me if that makes sense.

But a nice name for the right girl. and i don't just mean blonde.

deleting · 20/04/2010 21:57

love it.

lilmissmummy · 20/04/2010 21:54

lovely!

ongobongo · 20/04/2010 21:53

Lovely name - really easy to say with a smile on your face!

GladioliBuckets · 20/04/2010 16:49

Love it. Was on one of my shortlists.

DastardlyandSmugly · 20/04/2010 16:46

I think it's lovely

ConnorTraceptive · 20/04/2010 16:09

I like it and would have considered it is ds's were girls

padraig · 20/04/2010 15:58

It's quite a popular name for dogs.

I really dislike it tbh.

mopsyflopsy · 20/04/2010 15:29

Awful! But then I know too many 60+ year old Germans named Heidi.

5DollarShake · 20/04/2010 15:18

I really like it.

I went to school with two girls called Heidi and they were both blonde stunners.

whatwasthatagain · 20/04/2010 15:00

I love it. Loved the book as a child.
