Middle name for Olivia?

Just had baby girl after 3 boys, and it took us a week to come up with Olivia (even though it is top of the top 100 list!), but we are struggling for middle names. Last name one syllable, beginning with 'S'.

Please let me have your ideas! Thank you!

I was born Olivia with a single syllable S surname! My middle name is Caroline if that helps.

mine has a long name starting with A 5 syllables, not mentioned here
last name also one syllable starting with L
I like the way it sounds

If you love Matilda you should go for it, I personally prefer it.

With Olivia I would go for a more unusual middle name.

Genevieve
Ottilie
Pearl

I second twosofar. I know that the MWs give out those names as compulsory mns these days, but you can buck the trend, honest. If you want one syllable how about Clare, Kate, Pearl, Anne, Jane, Merle, Joy (although that last one getting a bit too popular).

Not Rose, May/Mae or Grace.... this is what virtually everybody is called!!

Olivia Christine

This was the name of my first, most beloved, Cabbage Patch Kid, sadly lost by my sister 23 years ago and yes, I still hold it against her...

I like,

Olivia Jane
Olivia Jean
Olivia Joan

Just think they go well together.

Olivia Grace does go but Grace and Rose seem to be the middle names of choice for almost everyone.

I prefer Grace as a first name with NN, Gracie. Lovely.

Thank you again - some lovely ideas. We loved Matilda for her first name - still wondering if we should go with it!

matilda?

SE13Mummy · 13/03/2010 23:42

Olivia Mary or Josephine, Madeleine, Rachel, Jayne, Daisy, Joy, Emily, Phoebe or Kate?

Mae/May, Grace and Rose seem to be the middle name of every second girl around here so I'd steer clear of those (I have Louise as a middle name - that good ol' 1970s filler!).

HelenDoula · 13/03/2010 23:30

Rae ? it is the middle name of my youngest Sienna, with every name we had on the list Rae was the middle choice !
