Really starting to like this WDYT?

For a mixed race black and white boy?

I like it, had it on my list for DS2 but the willy connotations have put me off.

annasophia · 12/03/2010 19:21

But if Percy reminds you of Thomas the Tank Engine, then what about Thomas?

BendyBob · 12/03/2010 17:13

I think the ironic old man/lady names have had their day. Percy is going to get teased big time, I fear.

pointylog · 12/03/2010 17:06

turrible

happywheezer · 12/03/2010 17:04

I like it too.

mrspear · 12/03/2010 16:59

mathanxiety · 12/03/2010 16:57

Makes me think of piglets.

GrungeBlobPrimpants · 12/03/2010 16:57

Point Percy
I'm sure one of the Softies in Dennis the Menace is called Percy
Percy Sugden in corrie (if you watched it that long ago)
Percy Weasley the creepy head boy & traitor in Harry Potter

Not good omens really

Fimbow · 12/03/2010 16:52

My grandad's budgie was called Percy.

cory · 12/03/2010 16:50

This one was obsolete as long ago as the early 1900s: my FIL born in 1909 never forgave his Dad for saddling him with an awful name like that.

FanjolinaJolie · 12/03/2010 13:57

'Point your percy at the porcelain' - have you heard this saying before?

My beloved first cat was called Percy

Jackstini · 12/03/2010 13:12

Sorry - can't not think of either penis or Percy the little green engine.
What did you like about it and maybe we can suggest something else - the old fashioned vibe?

snares · 12/03/2010 13:08

No Percy is synonymous with penis.

MilkNoSugarPlease · 11/03/2010 23:49

love Love LOVE LOVE it!!!

BravoJuliet · 11/03/2010 22:31

ha ha, fluffy, that might just become a phrase in MY family now if you don't mind !! I need some snappy phrase to make the message sink in!

thumbwitch · 11/03/2010 22:14

no no no. Too weedy by far. Too Bad-Brother-who-comes-good-far-too-late-in-the-series of Harry Potter as well.

There is a fairly recent thread about this name - look it up and see what people said then as well.

Lizzylou · 11/03/2010 22:14

NO
I named my Dad's cat this and my Stepmom moaned about it, so if the name isn't good enough for a cat.......

fluffyguineapigs · 11/03/2010 22:12

There's a phrase in my husband's family 'point Percy to the porcelain' which is their way of saying 'point your willy into the toilet bowl andnotshakeweeall-overthefloor--

randomimposter · 11/03/2010 21:55

.... the park-keeper.

Sorry, no.

I really like it too

thehillsarealive · 11/03/2010 17:11

oh no, just NO. sorry, it is horrid.

BlameItOnTheBogey · 11/03/2010 17:09

I love, love, love it and think it is due for a comeback. But sadly I think I am in a minority of one...

BravoJuliet · 11/03/2010 17:08

It's awful...

What about Victor, Donald, Howie, Bruce, Vincent, Dougie. These names all have something of the same pensioner at bowls club vibe, but are cooler (imo)

Ineedsomesleep · 11/03/2010 17:02

I used to have a boyfriend who called his penis as Percy.
