Just wondered, as I think it's pretty. If it gets shortened however, would Yssy look nice on paper, or strange?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
foofi · 08/03/2010 08:37

Why would you give your child a name that they will always have to spell out to people?

GibbonInARibbon · 08/03/2010 08:30

wrong even.

GibbonInARibbon · 08/03/2010 08:29

Bucharest · 08/03/2010 08:26

Slartybartfast · 07/03/2010 23:52

no, don;t like it.

Oquioqui · 07/03/2010 23:50

People might pronounce it Ee-sa-belle.

LittlePushka · 07/03/2010 23:20

Looks like a typo to me... sorry.

walkingonthemoon · 07/03/2010 23:14

not overly keen...

nancy75 · 07/03/2010 23:12

if someone said to me my name is isabelle with a y i would wonder where the y went!

DebiNewberry · 07/03/2010 23:11

She will have to say, With a Y. WITH A Y. for the rest of her life, and it sounds exactly the same as Isabelle, which is exactly as pretty.

plonker · 07/03/2010 23:09

No, don't like it. Is it the spanish form?

RoseBlossoms · 07/03/2010 23:09

Odd. You will spend the next 10 years correcting people your dd will spend the rest of her life doing that!

No just..... no

DuelingFanjo · 07/03/2010 23:09

I would pronounce the shortened version as Yus-ee on Is-ee

JustAnotherManicMummy · 07/03/2010 23:08

No I don't like it.

thumbwitch · 07/03/2010 23:08

too Terry Pratchett for those who know.

RustyBear · 07/03/2010 23:07

It just makes me think of Death's daughter in Terry Pratchett's book.

nancy75 · 07/03/2010 23:07

it looks wrong, if you say it the same i dont see the point in spelling it with a y

seeker · 07/03/2010 23:06
