Kind of. Remy Ma is an American female R&B/rap artist who was on her way to biiiiig things when she pulled a gun on a friend and shot her over an argument about money/men and is now in prison... That aside her music is brilliant and it's a lovely name!

dizzydixies · 03/03/2010 09:11

was there not a film with Phoebe from friends in it called Remy something?

I quite like it, could be a grower

MiffyWhinge · 03/03/2010 09:01

just makes me think of brandy

pooka · 03/03/2010 09:00

Doh! of course it's bloody Rene!

pooka · 03/03/2010 08:59

No! Only those with an encyclopaedic knowledge of disney films engendered by having watched all of them goodness knows how many times (thanks ds1 and dd).

I do like the name, but really, as I said, only with the rolled 'r' you find with french accent. And was while I was saying it out loud to myself that I remembered Allo Allo.

AnnaSceptic · 03/03/2010 08:56

I always thought it as a girl's name.

Allo Allo is Rene

CinderellaRach · 03/03/2010 08:51

Do you everyone will think of a mouse?

makes me think of the mouse from ratatouille. or remy from allo allo.

only good if pronounced with definite french accent imo.

Binkster · 03/03/2010 08:46

It's also on our list- I love it! I know one in real life as well. Great choice!

CinderellaRach · 03/03/2010 08:44

Yes I'm having a boy and it's a boys name(although some people have used it as girls names). Thanks for comments

i know a french boy Remi - sounds lovely with that accent

belgo · 03/03/2010 08:35

Only in France.

ChoreDodger · 03/03/2010 08:33

Is it for a boy? I think it's a feminine sound. It might grow on me.
