What do you think of Cleo?

...middle name would be Helena. Nixed the MN as a first due to pronunciation issues - DH loves He-lay-na but hates Hell-en-a.

The other name that was in the running was Evelyn, but again pronunciation issues arose (like Ev-e-lyn, but Eve-lyn doesn't flow with our last name). Also think the nn Evie is too ubiquitous now.

Baby is due any day so any input greatly appreciated!

sorry i dont like it.

Lovely name, very nice with Helena as a mn. Have you considered He-lee-na as a pronunciation of Helena?

Nice. I like ^ChoreDodger's suggestion though. Claudia is a gorgeous name - Cleo is a bit nick-namish, to me.

AllieW · 03/03/2010 17:38

I'm sorry, but for me it is either a singer (Cleo Laine) or a cat. I can't see it working on an ordinary child.

I thought clementine to Cleo was a stretch of the imagination but Claudia to Cleo is further

BessieBoots · 03/03/2010 09:00

So nice. Cute for a baby, sophisticated for a grown up.

robino · 03/03/2010 08:59

Gorgeous. The muse of history IIRC

AnnaSceptic · 03/03/2010 08:57

Gorgeous. Was on list for DD.

ChoreDodger · 03/03/2010 08:35

I love it. I'd use it as a nick name for Claudia as I don't like Clementine, but Clio or Cleo is lovely.

dizzydixies · 03/03/2010 07:21

I love Cleo, was going to use it as a nn for Clementine as all my girls have long first names shortened to something. DH couldn't see past his first car which was a renualt Clio though

Helena is gorgeous, could you use it as first name and have Nell as a nn which would cut out the pn debate?!

good luck
