Taught 2 Constances - very strong but likeable girls
Leo is your best boy's name
End of the day, don't worry what others think go with your heart.

AllieW · 03/03/2010 19:24

Annabel (pf Annabelle) and Constance are my favourites of the girls.

Robin and Leo from the boys.

Hulababy · 02/03/2010 20:37

From OP list: Annabel and Michael

LaDiDaDi · 02/03/2010 20:36

Ruth or Constance

Michael or Leo

chainedtothedesk · 02/03/2010 20:33

Fave girl - Christina. Quite like Constance but think she'd have to be quite sure of herself to pull it off. Sorry don't like Pippa.

Love Leo and Robin. Do like Michael but a little boring, and definately not David. Every other bloke i seem to meet is called Dave (and you know this is what he'll get called whether you like it or not)

KAEKAE · 02/03/2010 20:26

Annabel and Constance and Michael are the ones I like.

yama · 02/03/2010 20:00

Only Christina of the girls.

Love, love love Michael and David is a great name.

janeite · 02/03/2010 19:19

I love Ruth and Constance. Don't like Pippa.

I totally, totally adore Robin. Don't like Leo.

My dds do the howling thing too - or the accusing 'why didn't you call me such and such?' thing. DD1 wants her middle name to be her first name and snorts when we tell her she would have been Laurence, had she been a boy. They are never satisfied!

pointydog · 02/03/2010 19:10

re seeker's point - my dds moan about all names I might have called them and rant about how that name would have ended their lives. It's middle-of-the-road hysteria and nothing to do with the name

pointydog · 02/03/2010 19:08

Be nice? Oh ok.

Christina - not keen
Annabel - do not like this name at all, v twee
Ruth - I like this a lot
Constance - I like this
Pippa - oh no, terrible frippery

_boys

Michael - yes, good strong name
Leo - not for me
Rob in - I am very keen on robin (not sure why, it just appeals)
David - a little dull

mathanxiety · 02/03/2010 18:49

My preferences in order:

girls-

Annabel -I want this for DC2 but already have an Abigail so far to similiar sounding it would get very confusing!
Pippa
Christina

Boys-

Michael
Leo
David

doubleexpresso · 02/03/2010 13:51

Lovely list of names. If I had to choose I'd go for Pippa or Annabel, Leo or David.

loobylu3 · 02/03/2010 13:40

I like:
Constance (love), then Annabel (v pretty)

Leo or Michael

CantSleepWontSleep · 02/03/2010 12:23

Love Constance and Pippa
Like Robin

libertybear · 02/03/2010 12:19

Thank you - so pleased not a chorus of hating them all. I thik we are veering to Constance for a girl (it was dh's great grandmother's name as well) and Leo for a boy but boys are hardest as I love David but maybe it is like calling a boy Brian or Colin - ie men in their 40s, not babies

OP posts:
RachieB · 01/03/2010 21:23

Leo & Annabel

zozzle · 01/03/2010 18:49

Love Ruth, like Constance and Christina

Not keen on your boys names (Michael ok)

Bleenherbe · 01/03/2010 18:48

Constance and Leo

hildegarde · 01/03/2010 18:47

My favourites are Ruth, Michael and Robin.
Christina is nice too.

Constance is a bit hard to say - it's that "nst" bit which is a bit clumsy - so it feels a bit prissy to me.

birdofthenorth · 01/03/2010 17:36

Love Ruth, like Pippa

Leo is lovely from your boys list

Sunshinemummy · 01/03/2010 16:30

Christina - not keen
Annabel - OK
Ruth - OK
Constance - OK but I knew someone called Connie and all her male friends made up a rude nickname for her
Pippa - love this

Michael- not keen
Leo - love
Rob in - not keen
David - not keen

minipie · 01/03/2010 16:06

Jamieandhismagictorch · 01/03/2010 14:42

I love Christina

Like Constance (Connie)

Like Leo and David

nickelbabe · 01/03/2010 14:11

Robin sounds like it should only suit boys, but i know a Robin who is an old man and it really suits him. and the other Robin i've known for 20 years since teenage-dom and it's always worked.
he's never been a Rob.
