DD has a Jessie in her school (I think he is about 8) very cool and definitely the school stud - I doubt many would take the piss out of him, he is V cute.
As long as he turns out to be a confident boy, I think it's a lovely name, not so sure it would suit the shy retiring type....

I like Kelly, not so sure of Kerry - Jessie def gets my vote.

noddyholder · 03/03/2010 15:21

Jesse is v cool Not many around and you will NOT have any problems in the playground! What a strange attitude Have one myself and he is gorgeous

No didn't mind what I having!!Wouldn't choose those names for girls.Finding it very difficult thinking of names.
DH is ex-rugby player and knew a few players called Kelly plus my father is Irish and knew a few men called Kelly.Plus there's singer from Stereophonics called Kelly and Surf athlete Kelly Slater!!But alot of people who I've spoken too think I would be cruel to give him that name!
Need something to go with Ellis.Don't want same name as everyone else but don't want silly made up name

I agree with TabithaSmith.

TabithaSmith · 01/03/2010 15:24

Very girly boy's names. Jesse at a push.

Lovethesea · 01/03/2010 15:22

When I saw the title I thought you were having a girl too.......... Kerry and Kelly both girls I have known growing up; Jesse ok if it's not used in your area as an insult:

'You're a big jessie (girl's blouse)'

and you have no intention of moving somewhere that does use it like that until your DS is old enough to not care!

Jamieandhismagictorch · 01/03/2010 14:43

Jesse is great

ObsidianBlackbirdMcNight · 01/03/2010 13:50

NOT Kelly or Kerry. Too feminine. Jesse is nice.

diddl · 01/03/2010 13:48

Jesse-the others are girls names imo.

doubleexpresso · 01/03/2010 13:01

With these name choices people may think you wish you were having a girl...

lifeas3plus1 · 01/03/2010 12:09

I know an Irish lad called Kerry. He was really sweet.

Never met a boy called Kelly but I still do think of it as a boy's name.

They are all really nice name's but I really love Jesse.

CantSleepWontSleep · 01/03/2010 10:37

Jesse. Don't like the others for a boy, but love Jesse.

Kyrie · 01/03/2010 10:34

Personally I really don't see Kelly as a girl's name. If I was going to meet a Kelly for the first time I wouldn't assume they would be female same as if I met an Ashley.

Kerry I probably would have until I met a male Kerry and Jesse I would think was going to be a boy.

Clary · 01/03/2010 00:08

OK well I was going to post that Jesse is a boy's name...but then I see you are having a boy

Kelly and Kerry will be thought of by most as girls' names so Jesse is the best of those three IMO.

Casmama · 28/02/2010 23:55

I like Jesse too but is there some reason that you have chosen three names that are quite feminine sounding?

lowrib · 28/02/2010 22:52

I know a man in his 50s called Kelly.

I'd go for Jesse though.

Maria2007loveshersleep · 28/02/2010 22:25

Aaaaaahhhh I see

Maybe I should have put in instead of !

I like the name Jesse too!

PureAsTheColdDrivenSnow · 28/02/2010 22:22

no need for the (gah.. ffs)

Jessie is another word for wuss. (or have I been watching too much Neighbours and H&A)

like I said at you now.. I LIKE the name Jesse.

Maria2007loveshersleep · 28/02/2010 22:16

Pure, why would he be getting the piss in the playground for Jesse? Don't see what's piss-worthy about it?

runnybottom · 28/02/2010 22:14

If you go with Kerry or Kelly start saving for the therapy bills now. And start practising for the conversation you'll have 10 times a day " his name's Kerry....yes a boy....no its a boys name too...yes I'm sure....yes it is unusual...etc etc"

Jesse. Great name. Almost as good as Jude.

PureAsTheColdDrivenSnow · 28/02/2010 22:12

Isn't the guy from stereophonics called Kelly?

But yes - Kerry and Kelly are mostly girls names. Jesse is a good name (I like it, I had an ex called Jesse ) but fear he would get the piss taken in the playground.

sorry... honest opinion
