Already have a Sonny and expecting ds2. Any thoughts on

Dylan (now too popular/chav?)
Stanley (maybe doesn't go with sonny)
Zane
Cosmo
Theo
Flynn
Albie
Evan
Leon

Not sure about middle names yet. What do you think?

I think Sonny and Milo would be fab.

Dylan -- nice with Sonny
Stanley -- nice, but too many Ss?
Zane -- ok, a bit close to Sonny in sound?
Cosmo -- nice, but very different from Sonny in feel
Theo -- lovely
Flynn -- meh, don't like surnames as names, in general
Albie -- no, not even a a nn for Albert
Evan -- nice with Sonny, fits well
Leon -- lovely

Do other people have different shortlists for their dcs? I think, if i remember, shortlist for ds1 was

Dylan
Jake
Jesse
Milo
Theo
Albie

Can't remember Sonny really being on there! Gone off Jesse and Jake now though.

I've got a really common name (as in everywhere I go there are 3 other people with the same name) so was trying to go for something a bit more unusual. Also like it when mil does that 'cat's bum' face

Your list has thrown me

I like Stan and Theo.

Hulababy · 23/02/2010 17:47

Dylan - it is quite a popular name now; I used to like it but now not as keen
Stanley - I quite like this but don't like Stan as a nn
Zane - ok
Cosmo - don't like
Theo - ok
Flynn - not keen
Albie - love this as a nn but less keen on Albert, and not keen on nn as real names
Evan - not keen
Leon - don't like

rosieposey · 23/02/2010 17:46

I like Arlo too - i have a Milo and it really suits him, not so sure about Cosmo though tbh just really reminds me of the drink

diddl · 23/02/2010 17:42

From your list,Cosmo.

Also like Milo & Arlo.

solongpumpkin · 23/02/2010 17:42

thanks, i do like milo - it was on short list for ds1. Was worried it might be a bit like cosmo and too 'try hard' but maybe not.

i can second Milo - lovely name and not too common.

Blu · 23/02/2010 17:15

Of those my favourites are
Stanley (but doesn't go that well with sonny)
Cosmo
Theo
Flynn
Albie

Also, what about
Arlo
Seth
Reggie
Milo

Dylan= I think really really elegant, nice name. Not chavvy at all (not sure why that matters anyway)
Stanley=don't like it, spells out 'old man' to me, I think its a bit old fashioned for my taste
Zane=no, don't like it. Its that american actor, Billy Zane I think it is that comes to mind (who I don't like).
Cosmo=really don't like it, trendy & 'trying too hard'
Theo=lovely, simple, elegant. Fantastic name.
Flynn=no, don't like it. Quite unusual but not necessarily in a nice way.
Albie=have never heard this before!! Don't particularly like it. Reminds me of Jessica Alba unfortunately.
Evan=lovely. I put it in the same category as Dylan & Theo.
Leon=I quite like it, a bit meh

MadreInglese · 23/02/2010 17:09
