I immediately thought of Tarka the otter!!

Tasker is awful.

Depends where you live as well as to how people will say it.

Down south - TARSKER

North TASSKER

It is not a name at all imho and will be shortened to Tass or Tassy.

I had an uncle Tasker I always thought it was a nickname rather than his real name when I was a child. I think it was a family surname used as a first name.

Um, honestly? Makes me think of "a-tisket a-tasket a green and yellow basket". And also that it will be pronounced differently in the north and south of England, which may or may not be an issue for you.

It sounds like the name of some dodgy character in a US soap such as Falcon Crest or Days or our Lives.

It is a stupid name. Call the baby Bernard or summat.
