I immediately thought of Tarka the otter!!

Tasker is awful.

Depends where you live as well as to how people will say it.

Down south - TARSKER

North TASSKER

It is not a name at all imho and will be shortened to Tass or Tassy.

puffling · 19/02/2010 12:06

Why do you like it? Is it a name?

Botbot · 19/02/2010 12:02

A surname as far as I'm concerned.

mrz · 19/02/2010 12:01

I had an uncle Tasker I always thought it was a nickname rather than his real name when I was a child. I think it was a family surname used as a first name.

foxytocin · 19/02/2010 11:48

as in multi-Tasker?

really?

BendyBob · 19/02/2010 11:47

It sounds like a '70's detective series for some reason.

belgo · 19/02/2010 11:47

Dreadful. Not a name.

Names along the same vein but are slightly better are:

Hunter
Archer
Mason

thumbwitch · 19/02/2010 11:45

sounds like a dog's name to me, although not really a name at all.

cravingcroissants · 19/02/2010 11:42

Taskers = furniture shop

Lizzylou · 19/02/2010 11:40

I think there is a reason that noone knows anyone called Tasker.

Don't do it

TaurielTest · 19/02/2010 11:39

Um, honestly? Makes me think of "a-tisket a-tasket a green and yellow basket". And also that it will be pronounced differently in the north and south of England, which may or may not be an issue for you.

GetOrfMoiLand · 19/02/2010 11:38

It sounds like the name of some dodgy character in a US soap such as Falcon Crest or Days or our Lives.

It is a stupid name. Call the baby Bernard or summat.

Flightattendant · 19/02/2010 11:36

terrible, sorry. Can you think of anything else you like?

ChynaDoll2006 · 19/02/2010 11:35

Nah it just sounds like someone who does tasks

lambanana · 19/02/2010 11:22

Its the name of a hardware shop around these parts
