One name DP did mention that didn't make me gag is Otto. I have no idea how it will be perceived though, so please let me know what you think!

Ok, I did think Von Bismarck, but this is a vast improvement on his other suggestions.

Noticed a few Ottos in the Telegraph announcements of late, along with the Arlos and Santos - a grower maybe?

Do still, however, vastly prefer you name choices.

Love it! Does your Dp like Arlo? Both are very cool.

I think I put them in the same legue iygwim. Don't know why though.

i like it.

i know two and it's a nice strong and simple name, like jack, there's no messing about... there are quite a few historical otto's who did quite admirable things...

the name otter is growing in popularity too ...

love otto, looked after a little boy a few years back and he was absolutly delightful
