What do people think? A bit silly for a boy? I'm loving it at the moment.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

It was on our list but we worried people (our parents mainly) would say "What? That's not a name!".

Good to see that it is.

Really like it.

Natasha Kaplinsky called her son that.

I wanted it but husband vetoed.

Nope.. not read the Freya North book (yuk).. there was a character in 24 last night called Arlo - I'd never heard the name before. Not sure if thats better or worse actually...

Woody Guthrie's kid was called Arlo. It doesn't really work for me, but that's just because I have a weird accent that makes it sound like I've just swallowed a bottle. Generally in favor of groovy boys' names

I did wonder if OP had recently read the Freya North book that has a character called Arlo as that's the only place I've seen it before...

It's OK.

Better than Milo anyway.

It's a bit twee Freya North for me.

He'll have a baby brother called Rufus.

LittleMissWorryHead · 25/01/2010 11:11

Love it, love it, love it! The coolest boys name.

MrsKitty · 25/01/2010 11:11

I like it. DH didn't so it didn't make our list...
