Hi

I have two dd's both with flower names, rosa and daisy, and am now pregnant with girl no'3. do i continue with the flower theme or do i buck the trend and call her something totally un-flora related?
ooh i've just thought she could be called flora! ah ha!
I just dont want her to feel left out if i call her something like polly (or what ever)for instance.
My parents, and two out of three of my sisters names begin with A except for one of my sisters who's name begins with M and who concequently feels 'left out'.

What d'ya think?
Any good names appreciated too!

i love love love Iris, Lily, and Aven (a red or yellow flower)

Don't think it matters if it's a flower or not, as long as it's pretty. But Violet is lovely.

TigerDrivesAgain · 24/01/2010 20:59

when is she due?

Egg · 24/01/2010 20:59

My niece is called Bryony which I think is lovely.

Heather?

dd 1 wants to call her poppy, i'm slightly against as my mum had a mad friend called poppy who slightly scared me as a child with nude sunbathing at any given oppotunity!

I would stick with the flower theme if it was me.

Blossom
Clover
Camellia
Poppy

butadream · 24/01/2010 20:57

Please don't use Marigold (gloves), Hyacinth (Bucket) or Petunia (Dursley).

Otherwise lovely, why not continue the theme? I love Lily and Iris and Violet. I'm not that keen on Poppy.

I tried this last year and everyone thought I was completely bonkers but if your baby is due roundabout now, then Snowdrop.

fruitstick · 24/01/2010 20:56

I have a soft spot for Iris - floral but not too cutesy.

May be nice to continue flower theme although Rosa souns less of a flower than Rose so wouldn't be instantly noticeable if you didn't....

Ivy seems to be getting popular....Lily is just gorgeous btut as momof says very popular....also think poppy is sweet

momofnearly2 · 24/01/2010 20:49

Violet is a lovely name and not very widely used.

Lilly/Lily/Lillie is nice too but quite popular now I think.

As you can see I think you should stick with flower names. lol.
