One aged 4 in DD's class. And I know of a nearly 6 year old one as well.

TheFallenMadonna · 15/01/2010 20:13

None. One in the school I think. None int he school I teach in, but it's not that kind of school.

mummyloveslucy · 15/01/2010 20:09

None, It's a lovely name.

Bicnod · 15/01/2010 20:09

Thanks Skeg and OohIsay - I think he's gorgeous but I always wonder if other people think he's a minger

Marsha has your Oscar got a middle name?

oldandknackered · 15/01/2010 20:05

Oscar is a fabulous name. I should know, I've got one and he's adorable!

You just have to ignore comments and/or opinions.

I had to listen while everyone, including family members, all said they didn't like the name.

That included my DH! But my baby boy was always Oscar. I don't know why but he was. To 'get' Oscar, the only other names I put up to DH were Apollo and Zeus. It worked!

Now Oscar is Oscar and no-one comments on his name (well, not to my face anymore!)

I had this 21 years ago when I announced my DD2's name. Everyone asked: 'Grace? What are you calling her that for?'

Skegness · 15/01/2010 19:32

Oh Marsha, WHAT a cutie. Thanks for re-posting. He is gorgeous. I will now think of Oscar as a name for particularly fab wee boys.

jellybeans · 15/01/2010 19:28

Where is Marsha's Oscar? I can't see him [stamp]
Your Oscar is adorable, Bicnod.

I hate MM. So glad I'm not alone!

whizzylala · 15/01/2010 18:37

2 in my DS reception class, both lovely.

Lotkinsgonecurly · 15/01/2010 18:09

None in the school

oohIsay · 15/01/2010 18:08

What lovely babies you both have.

What's your other son called Marsha?

Bicnod · 15/01/2010 18:03

No no no, you want him to stay squidgy for as long as possible ooooo I love it when they're all new and squidgy and yummy

MarshaBrady · 15/01/2010 17:58

A month old!, oh he's all lovely and plump and beautiful.

Mine needs some hair and get out of that squidgy stage.

But still we love him!

I went to a playgroup yesterday and there were 3 oscars out of 12 kids!

Bicnod · 15/01/2010 17:54

Awwwwwwwww your little Oscar is GORGEOUS and he looks just like an Oscar very alert for 4 weeks - oooooo looking at him is making me all broody...

My Oscar was a month old in the playmat pic - seems like a long time ago

midnightexpress · 15/01/2010 17:35

Diss Russell Howard at your peril - his GF is an MNer - I got in trouble . Though I agree entirely with upahill.

OP - none in either of my DSs' classes (loads in each class - it's nursery so different children come different days). We are in Scotland though and I don't think it has quite reached these parts in the same way as it has down south.

biggulp · 15/01/2010 17:29

one

sowhatis · 15/01/2010 17:29

My DS2 is Oscar, and there is one in the pre school next door. but not another in school.

MarshaBrady · 15/01/2010 17:27

Oh your Oscar is beautiful. How old was he in the photo on the mat?

Nervous as mine still has a little old man newborn hair do, hair at sides and combover at top!

Let me see what I can find...
