None of which DH likes but since he has offered a grand total of zero useful suggestions so far...

I'm particularly interested to hear what you have to say about Gregory as have not found it mentioned here.

Thanks

I don't like Gregory, or Greg, sorry.

itstwins · 13/01/2010 10:34

Definitely Louis. Beautiful name and is not try-hard trendy like Arthur (which I do like a lot but I agree with MaggieMna's comments). I really like Edward too although maybe a bit too regular?

Gregory is not bad but Gregs were always naughty boys when I was growing up and there is the bakers..

Hulababy · 13/01/2010 10:34

I love Edward and like the nn Ned.
I also like the name Arthur.

Pineapplechunks · 13/01/2010 10:22

Ooh yeah, Gregory, I like it, have that one, deffo.

BornToFolk · 13/01/2010 10:20

Please use Arthur. I really love it but will never be able to use it with DP's surname.

I like Gregory too.

Another vote for Gregory. I like Arthur as well, but I don't live in a trendy-naming-zone, so it doesn't have that vibe for me.

MaggieMnaSneachta · 13/01/2010 10:18

ps just realised, Edward has it's own adjective too of course, Edwardian!!

MaggieMnaSneachta · 13/01/2010 10:16

Gregory - I love this one. I think Gregory is less pompous than Barnaby but it's still lovely. I also think of gregarious! I also like Greg Rusedski and it is a confident happy name.

Louis - I love this one too. I think I prefer Leo though.

Arthur - Arthurian, Gregorian, you must add Dominic to your list! Must all your names have their own adjective!!? Only joking. Art is a nice nick name, but Arthur is a bit too self-consciously trendy for my tastes. It's not bad. It's just a bit 'of the moment'.

Edward, I really like this one. Classic but one of the better ones. I like Teddy too.

What do you think of Richie? Instead of Archie! has a bit of an Arthur vibe, but less 'now'.

I'd go for Gregory or Edward. Gregory because it's rarer.

timinyday · 13/01/2010 10:13

Louis is best. Greg reminds me of the pie shop.

I love the name Gregory, but DH vetoed and we ended up with an Edward!
