What do you think of Verity as a girl's name? It's listed on Mumsnet's Baby Name Finder.

pinchmeimustbedreaming · 01/01/2010 08:54

iv always wanted my little girl to be called verity but then i met my husband and my married name is davison so didnt think i would give her the best start what the initials VD

cookielove · 30/12/2009 20:04

i look after a verity and she is soooo cute, and sweet, and the name is lovely

AitchTwoOhOneOh · 30/12/2009 19:53

LOVE it.

TruthSweet · 30/12/2009 19:53

I'm a Verity and I love my name! Unusual but not too 'out there' (unlike my DDs names ). Also nice to have a name that isn't easy to shorten so you don't end up with 15 different nicknames. However I know it's not everyone's cup of tea.

santasmagicnappysack · 30/12/2009 00:18

Love it - would especially suit a strong minded little girl.

Pluto · 29/12/2009 23:05

A bit chaste for me.

controlfestivefreaky · 29/12/2009 22:54

ok. prefer vita myself...

Ready4anothercoffee · 29/12/2009 22:50

Love it, but I'm biased, dd1 is Verity Faith I am often asked how it is spelt, and explain using the veritas serum from harry potter as an example

BatmanSmells · 29/12/2009 22:44

Lovely - know one aged about two - not common but really pretty IMO.

CantSleepWontSleep · 29/12/2009 22:33

Fantastic name. One of our top 2 contenders if dc3 is a girl.

audley · 29/12/2009 18:21

Absolutely stunning imo. My auntie's name; we called her Auntie Very Naughty!

OrmIrian · 29/12/2009 16:46

Lovely name.

LadyBiscuit · 29/12/2009 16:45

I love my friend Verity so I'd say yes

Merle · 29/12/2009 16:42

What's wrong with appearing 'upper working class'?

GinGirl · 29/12/2009 16:32

Love it, goes well with my DD's names and it would go on the list for future children!

canella · 29/12/2009 16:31

i only know one person called Verity and i cant stand her so it will never be a winner with me!

But even before that it brought to mind very posh spoiled little girls with ponies!

sorry!

brimfull · 29/12/2009 16:30

Very pretty. I know a lovely lady called Verity (shortened to "Vee") who's very trendy and "with it".
