We have two names we can't decide between:

Martha
Stevie

Martha is obviously the more traditional name but we, esp DH, do love Stevie as well. My only worry is that Stevie might not be a good choice for a 'serious' job in the future, but DH has decided it's a rock star name so it doesn't matter!

Also, our surname starts with an ST, does that matter?

This list is at least better than our boys list which currently has no names on it!!

I wondered if Martha was starting to get really popular, we don't know any here yet but the popular ones seem to just explode!

I know Stevie is not going to be everyone's choice at all, but we do love it. Our surname has three syllables so it does sound a bit like a stage name though!!

I love them both but would choose Stevie as Martha is uber popular here.

Really don't like Stevie as a first name, especially as your last name starts with ST.

If you really like it then maybe you could use it as a middle name?
