Cass / Cassius

Love this name for a boy but worried people will assume he's a girl when abbreviated to Cass. Also, how would you pronounce Cassius -as it looks or Cash-us??

Thank you lovely people for your views. It is a cool name so I think we'll definitely be using it if baby is a boy. Just have to think up a good girl's name now... any ideas?!

I LOVE it, was going to call DD3 either Cassius or Cassian but she came out pink as well and am just not that keen on Cassandra

at least Lockets got to use it

I have a Cassian. No one calls him Cass, nor Cassie.

I'd be alright with Cass though - that was the name of the Big Kahuna in Gidget. The top man, the best surfer, the beach bum

in all, a cool name/ abbrev

...well, DD1 is India, and we are 90% there with Jasmine for DD2. Just think India and Jasmine go beautifully together and Jaz(zie) makes a fab nickname.

I am currently pregnant with DC2, if a boy he was going to be called Cassius. I am expecting a girl! When we found out we were both momentarily disappointed as we both adore the name Cassius, but know now that we will never get to use it. We do have a lovely girls' name lined up though

David Hare, the new heavy weight world champion apparently has an 18 month old boy called Cassius.

It is a brilliant name.

Cass is fine as a nickname.

Pronounce as it looks in my book.

I think Cass can be masculine as well as femine... just don't abbreviate to Cassie for a boy!!!

Nice name imho.
