I think I must have misheard a mum call her son Amnesty. What could it have been? Surely not Amnesty?!

It sounded like Amnesty but couldn't possibly have been but I can't think of another name that might sound similar.

Any ideas?

No idea.

I do know children called Innocence,Temperance,Lovelace and Beloved though.So it is not unfeasible.
