Could this one work as a girls name? I think it is quite beautiful and can think of nice nicknames.
I may save for a middle name if dh is not keen.

mrswolf that list is pure gold. 79 people named their DD Princess last year? Are you sure its not just made up?

Have you got a link to girl's names for 2007? Apparently, 23 DDs were given the same name as our DD last year.

PuppyMonkey · 06/12/2009 16:05

PMSL at Chegirl.

It's not a name I'd go for. Eppy is short for epidural in my world.

Epidural is quite nice though.

UnquietDad · 06/12/2009 16:05

I fink it's luvelee. Specially if u spel it Epifanee with one of them flick things over the end. In fact Epifanee-Tiamii wud be gud.

Fruitysunshine · 06/12/2009 16:04

When somebody says "they have had an epiphany...." it kind of puts it into perspective as to whether or not the name is appropriate. It is a pretty word but not something I would have thought is name material...

Ineedsomesleep · 06/12/2009 16:01

We've got friends in Marlborough but its not them. This Epiphany is in South Cheshire.

Where did that random 'and so are they' come from??? I shouldn't try and watch telly and type at the sametime

oopsandbabyJesusinacoconut · 06/12/2009 15:39

Ineedsomesleep - They are Wiltshire based and so are they, somewhere near Marlborough I think.

Mrswolf how do you know that there were 3 registered last year? Would be interested to see how many had my DD's name.

Ineedsomesleep · 06/12/2009 14:43

I know an Ephiphany too and she is also sweet, wonder if its the same one that oope knows?

She wasn't born on 6 Jan either, her Mum just really, really liked the name.

She's called Pip for short.

crumpette · 06/12/2009 12:49

I'd only use it if born on 6th January. However I would say I dont particularly like it. FYI.. Stephanies are sometime called 'fanny' by mean kids in the playground so an Epiphany would have even more of a problem, even an epic problem.. I do like Pip et al as nicknames though, but would be hard to enforce them.

If you like it, and if it fits date-wise, it's not a horrid name and it does have a pretty sound.

CarmenSanDiego · 06/12/2009 11:15

Tiffany means Epiphany if I remember rightly so might be an option.

My ds was born two weeks ago today. He's called Stirup.

chegirlwithbellson · 05/12/2009 22:50

My DS1 was born on Epihiney. I was going to call him it but then realised I couldnt spell it.

CurlyhairedAssassin · 05/12/2009 22:35

This is a troll post, right?

ravenAK · 05/12/2009 22:34

I was all set to hate it, & then I thought a bit about the meaning & decided that it's actually lovely.

Much better as a middle name, though. Being called 'Sudden leap in understanding' as a first name might be a bit much to live up to!

Also you might call her Pip, but her schoolmates will undoubtedly call her Eppy or Fanny - neither of which has happy associations in school slang.

Ronaldinhio · 05/12/2009 22:26

no this is terrible unless you would shorten it to fanny which is a good nickanme

pip is the name of a jackrussell

Merle · 05/12/2009 22:25

I adore it and I don't usually go for obviously unusual names. Use it, please. For me it has great associations of travel, gifts, astronomy - wonderful.

Would suit a Bond girl! Arguably this is a good thing; she'd be brainy and glamorous.

seeker · 05/12/2009 22:23

DOn't be silly!

feedthegoat · 05/12/2009 22:21

Berber - I was just going to post the same thing!

boodleboot · 05/12/2009 22:18

i quite like it.....it is Jan 6th....last of the twelve days of christmas or something i think....Pip is adorable nn

madlizzi · 05/12/2009 21:07

reminds me of eppiny from kath and kim!!

serinBrightside · 05/12/2009 21:06

I quite liked Hosannah but DH did not.
