3 weeks to go!!!! Ruby too popular???

Since i found out i'm having a girl the only name i really like is Ruby! I know its so v v popular but dont know what to do! others on list are:

Lola
Elizabeth
Lily
Summer
Laila

My surname is very unusual so unsure about Elizabeth as it doesnt quite go......... aaaaargh!

i have a Ruby

she is the only one i know

if you like it, use it and Ruby Elizabeth is a beautiful name

Ruby is lovely, don't know many round here.
Also like Lily and Elizabeth, but would steer clear of Summer for a Winter baby.

Ruby is very popular at the moment but it's a nice name so why not if it's what you love?

Otherwise you could use Elizabeth for the first name and then call her Eliza, Lizzie or Beth or Bess?

Also I think Laura is much underused.

I agree that Lola is a showgirl (polite way of putting it) name.

There are billions of Lilys around at the moment. It depends how much popularity of a name bothers you.

From your list, Elizabeth and Laila are my favourites.

OP, I like all your names except Summer.

Like the idea of Ruby Elizabeth tbh!

My sons name was different at the time-now there are loads!

If you love it, use it!

Ruby was the second most common girls name last year, but I still like it a lot, it's lovely!

Also like Lily and Summer (bit ironic for a December baby though?!)

Lola always sounds a bit showgirl/prostitute to me, sorry
