Thanks for the list but not keen on any of those......sorry.

I like George but it does have tortous (sp?) links, I know what you mean about Archie......I can't imagine a teenage Archie either.

What about Jonty?

I'm watching with interest as we are currently in need of a boy's name.

We will probably have Edward as a middle name.

Archie was our choice when I was pregnant with dd, I still like it but I wonder if it's a bit too trendy and will date quite badly?

I like Henry but I'm not keen on Harry and the popularity of it (Harry) put's me off Henry iyswim.

I'm also considering Arthur and Stanley (Stan). Dp loves George but I'm not keen for various reasons.

What about....

Toby
Luke
Peter
Isaac
Elliott

Henry is the best name - my husband is a Henry!

mummyof1butnotforlong · 05/12/2009 22:01

A mixed bag of thoughts! What am I going to do!!! Just can't think of any single name I love!

Ted is fab!

DaftApeth · 05/12/2009 20:35

No no no. Not Ted!

Much too popular now. Ds was only one I knew for years

Like Louie/Louis,Henry, Fred(dy).

Beanigan · 05/12/2009 20:27

I LOVE Archie and named my DS Archie (but I much prefer this name with a Scottish Surname)

Henry is my 2nd choice of fave name for a boy along with Edward. Not keen on Ted though...

I like Edward.
Hate Archie and dislike Henry or Harry.

Clary · 05/12/2009 13:56

I know a Max and Toby - sounds nice to me.

Henry is my fave of yr choices.

Ted for me is always short for something but I know lots of people disagree.

mummyof1butnotforlong · 05/12/2009 13:52

Ok,

DS1 is Max, so...

Max and Archie
Max and Ted
Max and Oscar
Max and Louie
Max and Henry

or......I don't know! I only like Max!

Girls names have been totally sorted and so much easier!!

I love Archie!

SuperSoph73 · 03/12/2009 11:38

Archie is definately my firm favourite with Ted coming in a close second

loobylu3 · 03/12/2009 11:37

Love Henry! Like Edward a lot but just Ted less. Archie is okay.

mumoftoomany · 03/12/2009 09:47

Really don't like Archibald (Archie) at all.

Theodore (Ted) and Henry are ok.

neverjamtoday · 02/12/2009 22:26

There was another thread with a debate about 'Henry' earlier on - and sorry I haven't changed my mind even up against Archie and Edward which I like better than Jack (the rival name in the other thread)- it's got to be Henry every time!

ihaveaheadache · 02/12/2009 22:25

Love Ted. Don't understand why people feel the need to give their children longer 'formal' names they aren't even keen on just to shorten them anyway. Ted is a great name.

jellybeans · 02/12/2009 22:23

Ted is great. No need for longer forms.

JamInMyWellies · 02/12/2009 21:40

I have an Archie have never met another Archie.

I love Ted wanted it for my DS2 but DP was worried I would call him my teddy bear all the time.

allaboutme · 02/12/2009 21:36

Hate Archie!

Ted is best with Edward as full name

If not then Henry good as its a full name in itself

AitchTwoToTangOh · 02/12/2009 21:34

henry's a lovely name imo.

mummyof1butnotforlong · 02/12/2009 21:33

no just ted, or archie no longer versions, oh dear its not sounding good so far!

OP posts:
LynetteScavo · 02/12/2009 21:32

Ted, but only if you go for Edward as a full name. Otherwise Henry.

JustKeepSparkling · 02/12/2009 21:30

Henry

MaggieNollaig · 02/12/2009 21:30

I like Edward/Ted the best.

I like ARchie too but it's a bit of the moment.
What about Richard with Richie for short?

Henry is awful.
