I have a dd called Eloise. One more on the way. Like Elizabeth-is it too similar to Eloise?

We have a DD1 (Eloise) and also really liked Elizabeth. For the same reasons as you, we eventually decided not to go with Elizabeth - we thought it too similar and in the end went with Katherine (Kitty) instead.

Elizabeth is a gorgeous name, we just felt it too similar.

My first thought was that it is a bit similar TBH - both lovely names though. I would definitely go for a different second initial!

Do you use nicknames? If they are going to be Ellie and Ellie, that's a bit much, but Ellie and Beth sounds fine.

Beautiful and classic - and with plenty of potential nn's (Lizzie, Beth, Betty, Liza). Go for it

yes, Lousia is not such a good choice!
Sorry there's only me who's given a comment so far (at least it's a positive one, though!) this will bump for you

Beautiful name, and goes well with your DD's name.

My dd wants to call it Louisa after her friend-now that would be confusing!

Glad you liked it.

no, it's a lovely name to go alongside it.
Eloise and Elizabeth has a nice sound - as long as you don't mind them having the same initial for when post arrives etc....
