Ok, so if you had to list one, what would you say your very favourite girl's name is?

MamaMimi what good taste you have! That's my dd's name!

Ariadne for me too!

It's a problem, because if the baby I'm currently pregnant with turns out to be a girl, then I don't know how to find a name as beautiful!

Anna

Agree with Maggie that I have other favourites that I probably like more than Anna atm (Alice, Eliza & Greta). But Anna is my all-time favourite.

Anna is simple, timeless and just perfect!

Honoria.

ps, favourite name of all time has to be a name for life... but names I love this month are Delda and Dulcie.

Juliet

This is not my daughter's naem, but it occured to me a while ago, that this is classy without being pretentious, unusual without being unheard of, literary without being self-consciously erudite! it's feminine but not frilly, it's strong but not harsh.

I also like zoe. I only realised that when a friend had a zoe recently. I suddently thought, that is an excellent name.

If I had a daughter tomorrow I'd call her Juliet zoe or Zoe Juliet.
