Aaron - how would you pronounce it?

We've picked the name Aaron for our son, but since deciding on it have discovered that people are pronouncing the name in different ways. I wanted to do a quick poll and see how you think it should be said.

air-on is the American pronunciation. British is Arron.
Ask an American and they won't see the difference as its their accent.
Definitely Arron . Beautiful name Smile

You could use the Scottish spelling Arran, then there is no confusion! I prefer the look of Arran too.

If you see it as pointless, stay out of it then. Otherwise you're just using someone else's discussion to vent your spleen, and then you add insult to injury by accusing us(me) of passive aggression. We don't need that sort of contribution thanks.

Baron, I would choose the spelling carefully as I see kids all too often correcting their names.

Arron like baron as well, but some parents choose air-on it's an individual thing that they kid will have to correct overtime but it soon becomes the norm at school we had lots of variations in pronunciation in my year group

My Jewish friends where Aaron has its roots, all side with the Air-on pronunciation.

Also have DS Aaron, and we say it like baron without the B.

A few people have tried to say eh-ron, but they stop when they realise we don't call him that!

Aaron..... Air-on. Aar = air.
Biblical pronunciation is Air-on.
Our friends from across the pond seem to feel the need for their own spellings and the pronunciation of some English words.
Hence the adjustment to 'Arron', and... as per usual, we then slavishly imitate their adjustments!
