Ok so DH and I cannot agree.

We don't know the sex but are a bit more stumped with girls names.

I love both Cecily and Helena, he thinks they are ponsy. I also love Romily but a close friend has named her baby that about 6 months ago. Same with beatrice and martha.

Dh likes names that are now too popular in my opinion (I think the are nice but I have a popular name and it drove me bonkers at school). eg Poppy, Hannah, Evie, Olivia

Can you help??? Think this baby might be nameless... Looking for classy names that won't date, are pretty but not too girlie and ideally outside the top 30/50.

Boys - maybe alexander or adam. urrghh who knows.

DS 1 is Louis.

HELP!!!!!!
(have name changed)

ILGH - Stella is lovely and it would be sooo much fun to shout it across a playground and sound like you're rehearsing Street Car every time!

Flora (my DD's name) meets your '30s literary style and your DH's modern/floral style...

Bubbaluv · 28/10/2009 18:50

Josephine.
Should have got my thoughts together before posting!

Bubbaluv · 28/10/2009 18:48

Phoebe?

I went to school with a Heleni (pronounced Hell-ay-nee) which would seem to fit with your Helena/Cecily ideas.
I love Tamsin and Camilla too.

I wanted Helena - was overruled, and have a Katherine. Also loved:

Nina

Rosa

Harriet

Marianne

so lots of names that have come up here already!

pumpkinpureeandghostlypearls · 28/10/2009 17:49

I have a Cecily- it's a brilliant name and DH loves it. Also shortlisted Romilly and Orelie FWIW

hattee · 28/10/2009 17:48

I think that Anna and Elsa are both lovely. What about Annalie if you like 'ily' sounding endings?

diddl · 28/10/2009 17:29

No, too old!!

Depending on surname, I´d be most tempted by Cecily, Thea, Elsa.

I wanted Hebe, or Jocasta, but husband wouldn´t go with either.

Fave boys names are Hamish, Rufus, Oscar & Felix.

MakemineaGandT · 28/10/2009 17:21

love Anna

what about :

Lucinda
Felicity
Rosanna
Marianne
Celia
