I'm expecting in dec, other half has come up with Bear or Body for first names! Ever heard of these (apart from Bear Gryllis!).

bear grylls is really edward. it's a nickname, people.

and bodie is a character in the wire.

pugwash · 24/10/2009 21:26

I'm in South Dorset so not many Dylan's around, but other half's name is Bryn so that's the connection.

Bodhi means enlightenment I think.

LilyBolero · 24/10/2009 21:22

Nooooooo, don't do it.

dizzydixies · 24/10/2009 21:22

I have a Dylan lovely name (mine is a girl though!)

Cordelia means 'daughter of the sea' which is nice too - I also have one of those

SixtyFootGhoul · 24/10/2009 21:21

Dylan is a bit common esp here inSouth Wales!Still a fab name though

pugwash · 24/10/2009 21:20

I like Dylan, we were trying to think of names connected with the sea as we are both sailors.

I think it is pronounced Bodie! I've not looked into it any further as I don't like it! He says that someone who has reached spiritual enlightenment is called a bodie Zephyr or something like that??? He thinks that they will be cool names when it gets older!!!

Just don't.

Heated · 24/10/2009 21:15

Do you mean Cody? If it really is Body, it's terrible and I can think of a few evilly cruel nn straight off.

Bear is slightly more acceptable but it's again more a nn or a mn imo.

Bruce is cool.

dizzydixies · 24/10/2009 21:12

eh no - why on earth would you want to call a baby 'Body?'

what about Bodie?!?!?

I always wanted to use the name Ever but chickened out of that

MaggieBruja · 24/10/2009 21:12

And the connection is................

There is somebody called Bruce Parry who reminds me a bit of Bear Gryllis.

MaggieBruja · 24/10/2009 21:11

No... BUT... I do love the name Bruce.

i think it's the next Gus.

SixtyFootGhoul · 24/10/2009 21:10

No. Too out there for me!

allaboutme · 24/10/2009 21:10

Yes. Too strange.
